Vocals sound great into plate with longer decay times (try around 2.5 to 3.5 seconds).
Unless you want the clap with the huge sustain kinda sound, which would sound better into a hall. I would add: drums sound great in rooms with short decay times (like 1 second or less).
Can't go wrong with mixing in a bit of modulation up to 3hz and maybe 10-30% wetness.ĮQ is self explanatory, that said, Valhalla is very lowend-low mid heavy for a reverb, you can really go up to 500-1000hz with the lowcut to bring the lowend more in line with other reverbs.

Mod adds chorus, which adds warmth and character at the expense of transparency. You can leave diffusion at 100%, really but turning it to 60-80% can make the reverb blend better with the source. Reverbs are really just defused delays, so 0% is almost like a weird delay, 100% is your typical reverb sound. Size is pretty straightforward, what size do you want your virtual reverb room to have? Attack determines how close or how far away the reverb is in relation to the dry signal. The bass multiplier controls how "boom-y" it sounds, which gives the reverb wheight and warmth but can also clog up your lowend. Pre-delay, the shorter, the "nearer" the reverb sounds, the longer, the further away.ĭecay should be obvious, in the damping section you can modify the roll-off on the high frequencies, the more rollof the warmer the reverb sounds, the less, the more transparent it sounds. Generally halls are the biggest spaces, chamber is medium, room is small. Now is very modern and transparent sounding.Ĭhoose your algorithm. 70s is very dark and warm sounding, 80s is brighter but still has some chorus-y character, in the highs particularily. Train your ear and do some tweaking, it's pretty easy.Ĭhoose your mode/colour. Still in the process of training the ear so just want some good presets to use for now until I get used to it.Ĭome on, it doesn't have that many parameters.
I have just purchased Valhalla Vintage Verb, I am just wondering if anybody can give advice on which presets (that come as standard with the plugin) tend to work well in EDM and Progressive House for particular sounds (i.e. More posts from the edmproduction community New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast Valhalla Vintage Verb - Which Build In Presets / Settings for Progressive House / EDM You also need to have an Avid HDX processing card.Valhalla Vintage Reverb FebruValhalla Vintage Reverb

In theory, any 64-bit VST, VST3, AU, or AAX (Pro Tools 11.0.2 or higher) compatible host application should work. However, due to plug-in host differences between DAWs - and our own rigorous testing standards - we only officially test our plug-ins and instruments in the most recent versions of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper, and Cakewalk.
